Matt brings more than a decade of public-relations experience with clients in a variety of industries – advertising, architecture, art, design, marketing, media, photography, publishing, technology, and real estate – and a continuing interest in leveraging emerging digital channels.
Prior to joining Blast in 2013, Matt was a vice president at DKC Public Relations, Marketing & Government Affairs, where he worked with several prominent advertising and marketing as well as consumer-facing technology clients, including Yahoo! B2B, LinkedIn Marketing Solutions, Criteo, Conduit, SapientNitro, Time Warner Cable Media, Viggle, and YANGAROO. He holds Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in History from Binghamton University (SUNY).
His penchant for being an early adopter has led to Matt being profiled in The New York Observer and Advertising Age’s white paper “Shiny New Things,” and he keeps informed of what’s on the horizon by attending major local events like the NY Tech Meetup. An avid social media user, he posts regularly on Facebook, Twitter (more than 3,400 users follow @mcaldecutt), tweeting about advertising, media, consumer technology and social media trends daily, and he regularly shares updates on places he visits in Forest Hills, Queens – where he lives with his wife and daughter – on Swarm and tips about each on Foursquare.
