On February 2, Blast Principal Lana McGilvray joined Drawbridge’s Kara Feldman and other freshly minted board members of Austin’s new digital marketing association, AUSAM, to welcome over 100 members of the city’s thriving marketing, technology and media community at Dropbox’s Austin headquarters on Congress Avenue. Attendees included executives from Centro, Blast PR, Drawbridge, Dropbox, FM, GSD&M, KSM, McGarrah Jessee, Pandora, Pentagram and Quantcast. Dropbox and FM were also sponsors of the evening’s talk and networking.

The second event of this year’s AUSAM schedule was a Virtual Reality Party that featured a gregarious and entertaining talk by Chocolate Milk and Donut’s CEO and founder, Ricky Holm. Ricky led a discussion around the intersection of VR and advertising and immersed attendees by providing opportunities to alter their reality at fitting tables set up onsite.

AUSAM is a collective of Austin’s digital, video, social, search and programmatic media and marketing professionals. AUSAM (Austin Advanced Media) is a place where we come together, create opportunities to develop professionally and push for the growth of Digital Marketing in Austin.
